Overview
The Armenian calendar is a calculated solar calendar traditionally used in Armenia.
It features 12 months of 30 days plus a short intercalary month of 5 days, աւելեաց, for a total of 365 days. Thus, it drifts from the Gregorian calendar and shares a similar Sothic Cycle relationship with the Julian calendar as the Egpytian calendar; the two calendars drift and realign on a cycle of 1461 years, with one such realignment with the Julian calendar occurring on 24 July 2012 CE.
The 30 days of the month are also individually named.
